# Vault Risk

The Lixir Vaults have been [audited](/lixir-doc/resources/security/audits.md) by the reputable firms CertiK and Haechi, but this can never guarantee that the vaults are unexploitable. We expect anybody that utilizes these vaults to do their own due diligence and risk management. Besides unforeseeable exploit risk, there are two minor although not insignificant risks within the normal protocol mechanics.
